Project
The basis of my bachelor's thesis was to develop a product that combats lack of movement in everyday working life. The starting point was theoretical research and interviews with experts from the fields of medicine, ergonomics and product development. This gave rise to the idea of an office chair that changes from a stable to an unstable state over time, thus triggering subtle compensatory movements and changes in posture. The calm, minimalist design blends seamlessly into various office environments, while carefully placed accents mark the active zones without creating the impression of a piece of fitness equipment. In several prototype and test phases, the mechanics, comfort and acceptance were tested and refined until a harmonious balance between support and activation was achieved. In addition to the development and design of the office chair, a corporate design and comprehensive business plan were created.
